The Radiology Department at LSUHSC-Shreveport is committed to providing excellence in imaging and patient care.  The educational program was developed to insure all newly hired staff receives a complete orientation program.  And all employees have competency based training, in-services, and continuing education.  In coordination with the Director of Radiology Services and the individual managers for the sections of radiology the Educational Coordinator will assume the responsibilities for providing programs, training and resources for the education of all Radiology employees. 

Our goals are to provide a service for employees to gain, improve and review information pertaining to the field of Radiology.  Provide on-going competency based evaluations of skills required for their job performance.  Identify areas of weakness for the department and provide instruction for improvement.   Improve employee motivation and further their interest in the field of imaging.  Improve patient care by providing in-services on new procedures. We believe education is the answer.
