My Evaluations

What is MyEvaluations.com?

MyEvaluations.com is an on-line residency/medical student management solution.

MyEvaluations.com uses patented on-line technology to allow residency, fellowship and medical school programs the freedom to Design their own evaluations, Assign their own evaluations, and Review their own evaluations. Additional powerful features make MyEvaluations.com a must have.

MyEvaluations.com provides both an evaluation, procedure and patient tracking system. Users are able to login and complete all their evaluations and procedures in one place. MyEvaluations.com's patented assignment system allows evaluation assignments to be made independent of your rotation schedules.

What is my username and password?

Your username and password are sent to you via email in July.  If you don't know your username and password, click on the "Forgotten your username or password" link.  Enter your LSU email address and the information will be emailed to you.  Also, you may call M'Liss at 675-5915 to get your information.  If all else fails, call Dr. Broussard for help.

All of your evaluations for the Pediatric Clerkship will be in My Evaluations.

You are also required to log ALL patient encounters in the system.

Regardless of where in the rotation (Clinic, Nursery, Ward, Subspecialty) you are, you MUST log in your patients.
To do so, follow the instructions below:

Case supervised by?  This is the resident or attending you checked out to in the Clinic, your resident or attending on the ward, Dr. Bienvenu or Ms. Julian in the nursery.  Pick the name from the list.  If the name isn't there, please let me know.
Location:  This is the place where you saw the patient.
Your Encounter?
Minimal would be a patient you saw with someone and did parts of the exam or history (you listen to a patient's heart with Dr. Kiel in clinic but he did everything else).
Observation:  You were there but only observed.  Didn't take any parts of the history or do any parts of the exam.
Outpatient:  Active- this is a patient you took the history from and examined in the Clinic.
Inpatient counts for Ward and Nursery patients.  Pick if this is the admission (initial eval) or a daily follow-up/eval.
Educational Diagnosis?  Pick one.  If the patient has more than one problem, just pick one.
Fill in HIPAA Section
Diagnosis/ICD9 Lookup:  You will typically get better results if you just type in the keyword search and leave the Diagnosis Category drop down menu alone.
Nursery:  Use Normal Delivery if your babies don't have any problems.  There is also a code for Well child check if you're in the clinic and nothing is wrong with the patient.  If your patient doesn't have a definitive diagnosis, use a symptom.
If this is one of your 10 "additional" patients, you are finished.  Submit!
If this is one of your "Required patients", also fill in the Procedure submission box.
Again, make sure you are in "Pediatrics" in this part before you go any further.
"No indication", "no consent" and "no complications" are the default.  Just leave those alone.
