Headache

Residents will have the opportunity to see and work up the acute new-onset headache patient in the emergency room as well as manage chronic migraine and other primary headache disorders in the clinic. A multi-disciplinary approach is fostered utilizing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapeutic protocols in treating migraine, cluster headache and chronic daily headache. Trigger point injection techniques are utilized as well. Residents are encouraged to develop a partnership with their headache patients in order to achieve realistic goals and active lifestyles.
