Determining Your System Information

In order to determine your OPERATING SYSTEM, RAM MEMORY, and PROCESSOR SPEED in Windows:

Right click on the “My Computer” icon.
Left Click on Properties. The System Properties window will open (as seen below). Your Operating system is located below "System:” Your Memory (RAM) is located above the button labeled “Support Information…” (i.e. The figure below shows that the computer has a Windows XP Service Pack 2 operating system, and 2.0 GB RAM).
The Processor Speed is located next to or above the memory. (i.e. The figure below shows that the computer has a 2.79/2.80 GHZ processor speed.)
Click OK, in order to close this window.

In order to determine your FREE HARD DRIVE SPACE in Windows:

Double click on the “My Computer” icon.
Right click on (C:)
Left Click on Properties. Your hard drive space can be found by looking to the far right of free disk space (i.e. The figure below shows that the computer has 29.8 GB of free hard drive space).
Click OK in order to close this window.
