FLAGGING E-MAILS
Has this ever happened to you? Your Boss sends you an e-mail regarding a meeting he has at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Taffy. Upon leaving the office he states, “Please remind me later of my 2:00 o’clock meeting with Dr.Taffy in the Deans Conference Center. You wrote the date and time of the meeting on a sticky note and placed it on your monitor. Just before lunch, the office got crazy!!! Your Boss lost a very important document that is needed for the 2:00’clock meeting and the phone has being ringing off the hook. You receive a call and it was your Boss wife. Not thinking, you grabbed the sticky note, which was the note to remind you of your Boss 2:00’clock meeting, to write down the message. Around 2:30, your Boss said, “Oh, no, you did not remind me of my meeting with Dr. Taffy”.
This type of embarrassing moment does not have to happen again! In Microsoft Outlook, you can flag a message to remind yourself to follow up on an issue.
