Configuring
the Mouse for Invision Through TCP3270
Now that more people are
able to get to the Invision sign on screen through TCP3270, how in the world can
you use your mouse to access some of the functions inside Invision? The following
guidelines will have you right-clicking on fields in no time.
Host
- Once inside TCP3270, select Session from the Options menu.
- Scroll down and select Host category.
- In the IP Host\Gateway box, make sure it says "NOMVS.LSUHSC.EDU"
(no quotes)
- If it doesn't have this listed, delete whatever is in the box and type NOMVS.LSUHSC.EDU
exactly.
- Click on the Save button & click on MAINFRAME in the profile
box (you will see Mainframe twice if it is already selected)
- Click Save again. This will return you to the mainframe session.
Mouse
- Once inside TCP3270, select Session from the Options menu.
- Scroll and select Mouse category.
- Select Right Mouse Action and scroll down to select "Move-Cursor-Cursor-Select"
(no quotes).
- Select Set. "Move-Cursor-Cursor-Select" will be deselected
by this action.
- Reselect "Move Cursor-Cursor-Select".
- Select Save.
- In the Profile list, select Mainframe.
- Click in Box beside "Start Profile Automatically" to select
it and then click Save.
You should be returned to your mainframe session. Now, use the right mouse
button to select allowable functions inside of Invision.
