Do I Have McAfee?

Do you have this icon  in the lower right hand corner of your screen?  When you click on Start and select Programs, do you see a group called Network Associates?  If yes, then you do have Mcafee installed.  Continue to the Configuring Mcafee section to learn how to configure your copy of McAfee.  If not, either you have some other antivirus software installed, no antivirus software installed, or your Mcafee needs to be updated. Before you install McAfee you need to remove any other antivirus software you have such as Norton Antivirus or PC-Cillin.

Check your Virus Definitions, Created on date, and the Scan engine to make sure they are similar to the above. The created on date and virus definition will change approximately once a week because McAfee usually updates them on Wednesdays.
