Setting Your Password Protected Screen Saver
Wish that you could keep others off of your computer when you leave your desk for a while? Don’t want to turn your computer off every time you leave your desk? Well, there’s a way to keep them out without shutting down your computer and going through that long boot up process. Just activate a password protected screen saver!
Windows contains several screen savers from which you can choose. You control the length of time the computer should register as idle and whether or not you want the screen saver to be password protected, before the screen saver begins.
1. Click the right mouse button on any portion of the desktop (except on icons). The display menu appears.

2. Left click the properties command. The display properties dialog box will appear.
3. Click the tab labeled Screen Saver.
4.
In order to see a list of the screen savers on your computer,
left click on the drop down list box, located directly below the
Screen Saver Prompt.
Note: When (None) is selected, no screen saver will be active on your system.
Note: On Windows 95 & 98 machines, you are required to check the change box, enter a password for windows screen saver, confirm the new password, and click ok.
Note: Windows 2000 machines will automatically use your LSUMC-MASTER password as the screen saver password.
Congratulations, you have successfully configured your password-protected screensaver!
