Employees are the State's most valuable resource, and their safety and security are essential to carrying out their responsibilities. Every employee has a reasonable expectation to perform his/her assigned duties in an atmosphere free of threats and assaults.

The determination as to whether an individual poses a "direct threat" to the safety of others is made on a case-by-case basis.

Please refer to the Administrative Directives for more information.

If you feel there is a major concern to you or someone else, it is your responsibility to report it to University Police Department (UPD) and Human Resource Management.

Administrative Directive:

Violence-Free Workplace
