  Classified Competitive jobs require a Civil Service exam or rating
  at the time of submitting application.

a. Applicants must meet the posted minimum or preferred qualifications.

b. Applicants must possess the posted series Civil Service test score. External applicants must have a test score or rating.

c. A state Civil Service Pre-Employment Application (SF-10) is required for each position for which you want to be considered.
   (Suggestion: Make copies of your SF-10 before you turn it in.)

d. To be considered for Civil Service Special Announcements, an SF-10 must be mailed to the Department of Civil Service before the posted closing date.

e. If you are seeking a waiver for a competitive vacancy, appropriate documentation justifying that waiver must be attached to your application.
