Your Rights
under the
Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993:

Employees are eligible for FMLA if they have worked at LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport for at least one year, and for 1,250 hours over the previous 12 months.

Reasons For Taking Leave:

To care for the employee's child after birth, or the adoption or placement of a child

To care for the employee's parent, spouse, son or daughter (under 18 years of age, unless incapable of self care due to disability) who has a serious health condition

For a serious health condition that makes the employee unable to perform their job.
