Answers:

1. How long do I have to make a decision on retirement plans?

Unclassified staff has sixty (60) days from their effective date to choose a retirement plan. If a decision is not made within sixty days, the employee defaults into the State Retirement Plan (Teachers' Retirement).

2. Do I have to attend New Employee Orientation?

Yes, all new employees must attend New Employee Orientation.

5. When separating from employment, where do I start to "clear out"?

Start in your department. Your department will have clearance forms. Follow the stops listed on the clearance form. Your last stop will be Human Resource Management.

6. When is Annual Enrollment for Benefits?

Annual Enrollment is in the month of April...from April 1st through April 30th. Changes you make at that time become effective July 1st.

7. What is the "Cafeteria Plan"?
