Residents
see their continuity patients in the FPC for one half day per week during
the PGY-1 year, two half days during the PGY-2 year, and three half
days during the PGY-3 year. Residents learn primary care procedures
in the FPC including EGD, colonoscopy, colposcopy, cervical cryosurgery,
vasectomy, neonatal circumcision, treadmill exercise stress testing,
and dermatologic surgery. The curriculum also includes five hours of
lecture per week on Tuesday afternoons presented by family practice
and specialty faculty.
